Last full day on PEI

Today is our last full day on the island. Kate and I awoke early a went out for a 6K run. PEI is surprisingly hilly.

We also used our rain checks at Green Gables to take Ian and Ben out for nine holes of golf. It was a good way to finish the golf portion of our vacation. I managed two birdies and two pars... We were however playing from the forward tees (400 yards shorter for 18 holes) since we were playing with novice golfers and we wanted to ensure our foursome did not slow the course.

We were hoping to go Paddle Boarding on Malpeque Bay but the winds were too strong. The kids went to an alternate destination: SandSpit Amusement Park. Kate and I enjoyed a beach day: sunning, swimming and flying a kite.

Glasgow Hills Golf Course

This golf course is probably the most scenic of the four courses that are featured on the Cavendish Trail Golf Card. Today we moved back to the blue tees playing a little longer than 6400 yds. This added a little over 300 yards of distance to our previous outings. I took 55 strokes on the front and 48 on the back. My best hole was the 18th. I birdied it.
